A popular definition of innovation is that it occurs when successful ideas or concepts are combined from two different areas – iPod + iTunes being a great example (neither new ideas in and of themselves, but together…)
Another infinitely less profound, but nonetheless utterly brilliant, example is the book I just started reading today. It’s called Pride and Prejudice and Zombies – a mashup with what may well be the best sub-title of all time…
The classic regency romance – now with ultraviolent zombie mayhem!
How can you not laugh at that? (I now eagerly await a movie adaptation, starring Bruce Campbell as Mr. Darcy!)
